Entry pathways Students that successfully complete the Graduate Certificate in Professional Accounting offered by ACAP University College may articulate directly into ACAP's Master of Professional Accounting or the Graduate Diploma of Professional Accounting.

Minimum English Language Requirements International English Language Testing System (IELTS): Academic IELTS minimum overall band of 6.5 with no individual band below 6.0 (completed in the past two years); or an equivalent accepted English Language test as specified in ACAP's English Language Test equivalency tables.

Overseas qualifications must be deemed by ACAP as equivalent to Australian qualifications.

Masters (Coursework)

ACAP's Master of Psychology Practice (Clinical) is designed for registered psychologists to enhance their skills in assessing, diagnosing, and treating complex psychological disorders. The course includes workshops, supervision, and is accredited by the Australian Psychology Accreditation Council (APAC).

Domestic students must:

  • Be registered with AHPRA as a psychologist, with a minimum of 12 months practice as a registered psychologist with no conditions on their registration and a GPA of at least 5.2 in their most recent APAC accredited qualification; and
  • Demonstrate achievement of Level 3 Professional Competencies as well as personal and professional suitability.

Additional requirements:

  1. Submit an application form, CV, statement of personal learning objectives and two professional referees;
  2. Submission of a critical evaluation of a peer reviewed journal article;
  3. Successfully complete two tasks to demonstrate research and professional practice skills, including the response to a case study and video demonstration of professional practice skills;
  4. Successfully complete an online quiz based on the National Psychology Examination curriculum;
  5. Participate in an interview.

  • Have successfully completed an Australian Psychology Accreditation Council accredited Level 1 and 2 qualification within the past 10 years (with a GPA of 5.5 or above in the Level 2 qualification) and be eligible for provisional registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency as a psychologist; and
  • Be able to demonstrate personal and professional suitability for post-graduate training in psychology.

These standards require the demonstration of English language competency in one of a number of specified equivalent ways. For more information, read the PBA Registration Standards.

Overseas qualifications must be deemed by APAC as equivalent to Australian qualifications.

It is accredited by the Australian Psychology Accreditation Council (APAC) and focuses on deepening understanding of human behaviour.

  • Successfully completed an Australian Psychology Accreditation Council accredited Level 1 and 2 qualification within the past 10 years (with a GPA of 5.5 or above in the Level 2 qualification) and be eligible for provisional registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency as a psychologist; and
  • Be able to demonstrate personal and professional suitability for post-graduate training in psychology.

Submission of an application form, CV, statement of personal learning objectives and two professional referees; Participation in an interview.

International entry requirements

  • Successfully completed an Australian Psychology Accreditation Council accredited Level 1 and 2 qualification within the last 10 years (with a GPA of 5.5 or above in the Level 2 qualification). For students with international qualifications, the qualifications must be assessed by the Australian Psychological Society (APS) for equivalence prior to submitting an application and evidence of assessment provided; and
  • Be eligible for registration with the Psychology Board of Australia as a provisional psychologist (which requires you to meet all the requirements for registration); and
  • Be able to demonstrate personal and professional suitability for post-graduate training in psychology.

Minimum English Language Requirements: International English Language Testing System (IELTS): Academic IELTS minimum overall band of 7.0 with no individual band below 7 (completed in the past two years), or Pearson Test of English (PTE): Academic PTE score of 66 (completed in the past two years).

English language competency that meets the requirements outlined in the Psychology Board of Australia 'English language skills registration standards'.
