Admission criteria

Specifically, applicants require a Bachelor degree from a recognised tertiary institution in a field relevant to health management, health administration, business administration of healthcare organisation, clinical governance, medical administration, human resource management for health, health information management, health financial management, public health and leadership in health policy.

OR A qualification including but not limited to a Diploma or Certificate IV in health administration, medical administration, practice management, project management, allied health, lived experience health workforce leadership development, aged care leadership and management AND work experience equivalent to two years full-time professional or volunteer experience. Work experience may also include equivalent professional experience acquired as part of a degree of four or more years duration (e.g., MBBS, MD).

A bachelor's degree and demonstrated knowledge and skills in programming, operating systems, and computing mathematics

A three- or four-year Bachelor degree in a relevant field, OR successful completion of a Graduate Certificate or Graduate Diploma in International Relations or related field.

A recognised degree in one of the health professions, social work or welfare studies, psychology, theology, education, behavioural sciences, including sociology, anthropology or biological sciences or related areas.

You will also be required to provide supplementary information with your application.

Applicants require a recognised bachelor degree in a related health profession, such as medical, social work or welfare studies, theology, education, health promotion, health sciences, psychology, sociology, anthropology, biological sciences or related disciplines. You're considered someone with work and life experience if:

You have left secondary education more than two years ago (i.e. who are not classified as recent secondary education applicants) and have not undertaken vocational education training (VET) or higher education study since then.

How we define 'experience'

'Experience' includes a combination of factors sufficient to demonstrate readiness for higher education such as mature-age entry, professional experience whether completion of the Skills for Tertiary Admissions Test (STAT) is required or not, community involvement or work experience. Applicants may have undertaken non-formal programs that have helped prepare them for tertiary education or are relevant to the proposed higher education field of study.

Applicants with vocational education and training (VET) study are those whose highest level of study since leaving secondary education is a VET course. This includes study at a public TAFE or other VET provider, whether a qualification was completed or not. Applicants with VET study may have other qualifications such as a Year 10 or Year 12 secondary school certificate.

• Guaranteed ATAR 70
• Essential WACE subjects (prerequisites)

Subjects you must have studied in high school to be eligible for entry into a course.

Desirable WACE subjects

• Certificate IV + English Competency

The certificate IV is the minimum requirement for university entry. It qualifies you for entry to Curtin courses with a 70 ATAR. You must also meet English language proficiency and check that you meet any extra subject prerequisites (where applicable).

• STAT entry

Special Tertiary Admissions Test (STAT)

The Skills for Tertiary Admissions Test (STAT) is a national test for those who don't meet university admission criteria. STAT can be used to meet entry criteria for some courses, or as a way to satisfy Curtin's English proficiency requirements.

STAT elements considered are Written English, Multiple Choice Verbal and Quantitative.

Applicants for a Master Degree (Coursework) are required to meet University academic and English language entry standards; details are provided at https://futurestudents.curtin.edu.au. Subject to the duration of the course applicants usually require a Bachelor Degree or equivalent (and may require relevant work experience), Bachelor Honours Degree, Graduate Certificate or Graduate Diploma.

Students may transfer to this course after successful completion of the Graduate Certificate in Environment and Climate Emergency.
