Recognised Bachelor's degree (AQF Level 7) or higher, or equivalent training, or satisfactory preparation for the course through previous study or professional experience. Some of the units taken assume some prior knowledge, details of which are given in the description of each unit in the Handbook. The most common of these is the high school Physics prerequisite for units such as Energy in Society, Energy Management, and Energy Systems. Some students may therefore need to complete additional prerequisite units.

Selection rank of 80, which can be met by: ATAR of 80 (adjusted or unadjusted); International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma score of 27 or higher; French Baccalaureate Grade average of 12 or higher; GCE A Levels Aggregate of 7 points (conditions apply); One successful Semester study at AQF 7; or One Year successful study at a recognised tertiary or higher education institution. ATAR of 70 or equivalent.

Completion of a Bachelor Degree (AQF Level 7) or equivalent in the same discipline or cognate area with a GPA 2.5 or above, and distinction average in units relating to the planned Honours study. Subject to availability of a suitable supervisor and approval by the Academic Chair.

As per normal undergraduate admission requirements. Highly recommended subjects: Physics 3A/3B, Chemistry 3A/3B, Mathematics and Human Biological Science 3A/3B.

A Bachelor's degree (AQF Level 7 or equivalent) in any field.

Recognised Bachelor's degree or higher; or satisfactory preparation for the course through informal or non-formal learning and/or professional experiences subject to the approval of the Academic Chair.
