Murdoch University Courses

This course is available to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people only. There are no pre-requisites for K-Track, however students will need to sit a two-hour writing activity to gain entry.

Bachelor of Education (AQF Level 7) or equivalent OR a bachelor degree from any discipline (AQF level 7) and at least 2 years full time (or equivalent) of teaching experience in the education sector.

As per normal undergraduate admission requirements.

Completion of the Murdoch University Graduate Diploma in Creative Arts Therapies OR Comparable programs from other institutions (e.g. Graduate Diploma in Creative Arts Therapies) may be eligible following assessment of previous course content by the Academic chair. Applicants from institutions other than Murdoch will also need to provide: Academic records - certificate of marks, Reference of suitability from previous institution, Provision of Unit guides for assessment of content and learning outcomes of nominated units. The selection process for all applicants includes a creative practice portfolio and interviews for shortlisted candidates. A maximum of 24 credit points of recognised prior learning may be granted to those applications who have completed equivalent coursework. If the recognised prior learning is equivalent to 12 credit points or less an amended offer for the Graduate Diploma in Creative Arts Therapies may be made. Applications will be assessed by the Academic Chair and suitable applicants will be offered an interview.

WACE Mathematics Methods is assumed and WACE Mathematics Specialist is recommended. Students entering without WACE Mathematics Methods are required to complete elective studies in the first semester of study to reach the required level of competence.

This special entry and enabling support course is available for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people who are enrolled in veterinary medicine, and other animal and biological science based courses. Entry can be obtained through recommendation after attendance at the one-week residential Testing and Selection process. Alternate entry may be permitted through K-Track, with approval from the relevant Academic Chair. Students entering relevant courses via TISC or direct university application will also be permitted, with approval from the relevant Academic Chair.

Entry into this course is restricted to those with a course weighted average of 60 in previous study and meet one of the following criteria: 1) Registered as an Accredited Exercise Scientist with Exercise and Sports Science Australia 2) Completed a course accredited at the level of Exercise Science with Exercise and Sports Science Australia within the last five years 3) Undertaken a Graduate Entry Assessment by Exercise and Sports Science Australia to the satisfaction of the Academic Chair. For Murdoch graduates completion of B1317 with a double major in Movement Science and Sport and Health Science OR, B1348 OR B1352 meets the requirements for point 2 above.

To be eligible for admission as a candidate in the 36 point Master of Laws by Research, an applicant must have: * a Bachelor Degree in Law (AQF level 7), or equivalent; or * a Bachelor Degree in a cognate discipline and satisfy the Graduate Research Manager with evidence of significant scholarly or professional attainments which would indicate a capacity to undertake the requirements of the degree. To be eligible to enter the Masters with advanced standing for the coursework component and be required to complete the thesis only, applicants must have: * a Bachelor Degree with Research Honours (AQF level 8) * a Degree at AQF 8 or above in a cognate discipline and satisfy the Graduate Research Manager with evidence of significant scholarly or professional attainments, which would indicate a capacity to undertake the requirements of the degree.

Recognised Bachelor's degree in IT (AQF Level 7); OR recognised non-IT Bachelor's degree (AQF Level 7) plus an approved qualification in IT; OR recognised non-IT Bachelor's degree (AQF Level 7) plus two years of relevant IT experience; OR recognised non-IT Honours degree (AQF Level 8) plus relevant IT experience. Recognition of relevant and current informal or non-formal learning may be used for entry requirements and should be discussed with the Academic Chair.

Recognised Bachelor degree or higher; or satisfactory preparation for the course through informal or non-formal learning and/or professional experiences subject to the approval of the Academic Chair.

Selection rank of 80, which can be met by: ATAR of 80 (adjusted or unadjusted); International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma score of 27 or higher; French Baccalaureate Grade average of 12 or higher; GCE A Levels Aggregate of 7 points (conditions apply); One successful Semester study at AQF 7; or One Year successful study at a recognised tertiary or higher education institution. Recognised Bachelor's degree (AQF Level 7) or higher, or equivalent training, in a relevant area. Students with alternative satisfactory preparation may also be admitted. Students who do not have equivalent knowledge and background in chemistry, thermodynamics, physics and mathematics will be required to undertake additional preparatory units prior to admission.
