  All applicants are required to normally be turning at least 18 by 30 June in the year of commencing the course, provide a portfolio and attend an interview. Entry to this qualification is limited to those who are able to demonstrate technical production skills in at least one technical area that supports learning at Advanced Diploma level. In particular, they must be able to provide evidence of their ability to develop solutions in at least one technical area, produce a body of work demonstrating technical skills in at least one technical area, respond effectively to workplace challenges and requirements in line with current industry standards, and apply knowledge of trends and traditions in at least one technical area. These skills and knowledge may have been acquired through personal or work experience, or through formal study, with equivalents considered.

  • Completion of Year 10 or equivalent.

  All applicants are required to have successfully completed a Bachelor degree in Sports Science, Human Movement, Physical Education, Exercise Physiology, Kinesiology or a similar program of study. Alternatively applicants can apply if they possess a Bachelor degree in another area and have demonstrated strength and conditioning experience, at the discretion of the Course Coordinator.

  Academic admission requirements (Band 8) may be satisfied through completion of one of the following:

  • Bachelor degree in a cognate discipline; or
  • Where accepted, equivalent prior learning, including at least five years relevant professional experience.
