  All applicants are required to be enrolled in the Bachelor of Science (Occupational Therapy) and have a Weighted Average Mark (WAM) of 70 per cent or higher in the first three years of the course. Acceptance into the Honours program is by invitation only and successful applicants will transfer from the Bachelor of Science (Occupational Therapy).

  All applicants are required to have a discipline-specific bachelor or equivalent qualification relevant to the Australian Curriculum or other recognised areas of school provision. Professional experience cannot be accepted as an alternative to completion of the bachelor degree. These course-specific requirements supersede the minimum academic admission requirements for Band 6. Applicants must be able to demonstrate advanced skills and knowledge in a particular discipline to enrol in a major area of specialisation (eg. a Major in their bachelor degree) and intermediate skills to enrol in a minor area of specialisation (eg. a Minor in their bachelor degree), and provide a resume, In addition to satisfying academic entry criteria, applicants for pre-service teacher education courses at Edith Cowan University must also satisfy non-academic criteria.   All applicants are required to attend an audition and interview where the candidate demonstrates competence in at least one dance style at Certificate IV level.

  It is desirable that all applicants demonstrate expertise through extensive vocational experience, or in grades in different dance styles through dance societies that run examinations linked to certification levels, and that they are turning at least 16 by 30 June in the year of commencing the course.
