Are you passionate about travel, meeting new people, and sharing unforgettable experiences? If so, a career in the tourism and hospitality industry might be your perfect match. This dynamic, fast-growing field opens doors to exciting roles like tourism development, event and festival planning, and hotel and resort management.
In our new Tourism and Hospitality Global major, you'll develop the skills you need to work in management roles both in Australia and internationally. This global major offers the opportunity to study at two or more of Curtin's global campuses. For example, you could start in Perth and branch out to Mauritius, or start in Malaysia and study part of your degree in Dubai. Whichever locations you choose, you'll be immersed in different cultures, business practices and the unique tourism landscapes of each country.
You'll learn about contemporary issues like sustainable tourism, the economic impact of tourism and events, destination management, hospitality management, and marketing; and gain real-world insights that will give you a head start in your career.
Curtin Perth stands out as one of only two Australian universities accredited by the UNWTO for tourism and hospitality studies and is ranked sixth in Australia in this field by the 2024 ShanghaiRanking's Global Ranking of Academic Subjects. This means that when you choose Curtin Perth, you'll not only get a recognised global education, you'll also gain a distinct advantage in the job market.
