This course will equip you with area-specific knowledge, particularly the geopolitical and security issues involving the Asia-Pacific, the Middle East, South Asia and Africa.
You'll explore the traditional topics of war, peace and strategy, as well as newer dimensions of security impacting Australia's region, such as climate change and environmental issues, disinformation and cyber power, transnational networks, emerging technologies, and humanitarian and cultural issues.
You'll learn about the key issues impacting Indo-Pacific security policymaking and build the necessary expertise to develop government strategy, including the high-level critical-thinking skills required to be an effective analyst and policymaker.
Taught by academics with experience in senior-level intelligence analysis, this course will give you the knowledge for roles in regional security.
