    Commonwealth Teaching Scholarships
    Applications are strongly encouraged from high-achieving school leavers, First Nations peoples, people for whom English is an additional language or dialect, people with disability, people from regional, rural or remote locations, mid-career professionals or people from low socio-economic backgrounds.

    Scholarships of up to $40,000 per student are available for students studying full time in undergraduate initial teacher education (ITE).

    The scholarship can help with the cost of study as well as provide opportunities to teach in government schools or government-run early learning settings for a period of time after graduating.

    The Bachelor of Education (Primary) (Honours) (BH020) is accredited by the Teacher Registration Board of Western Australia (TRBWA). Graduates of the program will meet the qualification requirements for Provisional Registration with the TRBWA.

Take advantage of professional placement experiences in this course, in addition to in-school opportunities at our partnership schools, including Albany Primary School. This provides further opportunities to connect theory to practice, observe teachers and students during lessons in classrooms, and participate in school based activities, including professional learning.

    The Anglican Schools Commission (ASC) and the University of Western Australia (UWA) are running an innovative trial, the Professional Immersion Program for Educators (PIPE). Available for students enrolled in UWA's Bachelor of Education (Primary) (Honours) program and provides the opportunity for paid work alongside a dedicated mentor teacher.
