About this course

The Graduate Certificate in Educational Research is a coursework program for educators who wish to deepen their understanding of educational research or progress to a higher degree by research. The graduate certificate may provide a pathway for educators who possess a four-year Bachelor of Education or a Master of Teaching but insufficient research background to demonstrate adequate research preparation for entry to a higher degree by research. This part-time course is comprised of units on qualitative and quantitative research design and analysis and the successful completion of a dissertation. Across all units, students will be supported to demonstrate a high level of written and oral communication particularly in the dissertation unit. Students will develop critical literacy skills as they review and evaluate significant literature in their chosen field of interest.
