Why the MBA Intensive?

The MBA Intensive has one annual intake of 30-35 students, with evening and weekend classes commencing in January each year. You can choose to complete the program in 12 to 18 months, depending upon your own work and personal circumstances. Use our Summer and Winter School teaching sessions to accelerate your MBA studies and fast-track your career. Entry is competitive which ensures you'll be working alongside the best.

The MBA Intensive has eight core units and four option units. Regardless of the study mode you select, you will complete the majority of your units with the other MBA Intensive students in your cohort, which is a strength of cohort-based MBA programs around the world. For your option units, you will have the opportunity to further expand your business network by studying alongside students in the MBA Flexible program.

Applications for credit for previous study at an equivalent level and institution will be assessed on a case-by-case basis.

Our study options

At UWA, we provide you with the ultimate in flexibility with face-to-face evening classes, full-day weekend classes and online classes. You can mix these study modes to suit your personal circumstances. The choice is yours.

The Business School's alliance with the Australian Institute of Management (AIM) in Floreat means that you can take exciting units such as Private Equity, Scenario Planning, and Creating, Leading and Growing High Performance Environments through AIM and have them credited towards your UWA MBA.

You can also take units from other faculties at UWA, which provides you with access to hundreds of elective units.

To be considered for admission to this course an applicant must have-
(a) a Bachelor's degree, or an equivalent qualification, as recognised by UWA;
and
(b) the equivalent of a UWA weighted average mark of at least 60 per cent;
and
(c) at least three years professional experience in a relevant occupation.

  • a personal statement of 1000 words detailing why you wish to undertake this course and drawing attention to the relevant aspects of your current and prospective employment which would benefit from completing the course.

UWA MBA Career Mentor Program: A personalised mentoring to connect MBA students to business and industry

Embrace the unique opportunity to be part of the UWA MBA specifically designed one-to-one mentoring program linking you directly with senior business executives and experienced business leaders. This bespoke program assists MBA students to build stronger networks through the sharing of your mentor's knowledge, experiences and development of your career plans.

This 6-month program comprises a series of one-on-one meetings between a student and a dedicated industry mentor such as a senior executive of a medium to large organisation. Some of our current mentors are CEOs and senior business leaders from a wide range of industries, including:
