About this course

A major in Integrated Design equips you with the capacity to apply your imagination to address contemporary issues in an independent and creative way. Design is a speculative discipline, meaning the use of imagination is central to the way different technologies and methods are used to create drawings, models and prototypes. As part of the creative process, you will undertake collaborative work on multidisciplinary projects with a variety of individuals. Practical studies are supported by investigations into design communication and sustainable design, as well as considerations of relevant historical and ethical issues relating to design. You'll benefit from UWA's investments in cutting-edge model-making and prototyping technologies including laser cutters, 'maker-bots', a well-equipped workshop and a 3D model maker.
