About this course

The Graduate Certificate in Urban Design will provide you with a preliminary overview of the urban design discipline and an introduction to its core principles, theories and practices. You'll develop techniques of urban analysis and design propositions with an orientation to the traditions, aims and means of urban design. This Certificate course aims to provide a 'top-up' qualification to professional practitioners and graduates of related fields or an introduction to Urban Design for graduates from unrelated fields. Entry into this course requires an undergraduate degree with a weighted average of at least 50%. Students from all fields are accepted, and we welcome domestic and international student to apply with a choice of on-campus and online course delivery to suit your circumstance.

Admission Requirements
(1) To be considered for admission to this course an applicant must have-
(a) a Bachelor's degree, or an equivalent qualification, as recognised by UWA;
and
(b) the equivalent of a UWA weighted average mark of at least 50 per cent;
and
(c) successfully completed prior study in a field relevant to Urban Design; or
(2) Significant work experience including at least 5 years with a material level of responsibility.
