About this course

By completing this combined bachelor's and master's course you will graduate with both a Bachelor of Agricultural Science and a Master of Agricultural Science. In your first three years you will complete the Agricultural Science and Technology (Extended Major) which will develop critical thinking skills in the traditional agricultural sciences and emerging digital technologies, followed by a semester of postgraduate study. You will then complete a final year of postgraduate study in the Master of Agricultural Science. The master's component of the course is highly inter-disciplinary. You will be guided through a research project and will gain skills in data analysis, interpretation and communication of their findings. The course will provide a rigorous understanding of agricultural systems and how to maintain or increase production levels in a more sustainable manner. This course prepares you with the knowledge and skills you need for a future in the rapidly evolving field of agricultural science and technology. If you decide not to continue in the CBM you can exit after three years with a Bachelor of Agricultural Science (Advanced). Note that the Advanced Bachelor Degree is available only as a CBM exit award. It is not offered for direct enrolment and is not awarded on completion of the CBM.
