The Respiratory Assessment, Oxygenation & Basic Ventilation Strategies online course is a 3 hour webinar based professional programme focusing upon the management of the acutely unwell patient with respiratory dysfunction in the hospital setting. The course utilises a mixture of presentations, workshops, and case study based clinical scenarios to develop and apply knowledge and understanding of basic oxygenation and ventilation strategies. This knowledge and understanding is key the management of patients with acute respiratory failure. This approach to learning facilitates understanding of the core physiological changes linked to respiratory failure and clinical deterioration. It outlines the need for rapid intervention and target strategies to support oxygenation and improve ventilation in the acutely unwell patient.
