Graduate Certificate
School of Arts & Sciences, Law & Business
Although many companies profess to focus on modern slavery in their operations and supply chains, there is a considerable gap between theory and practice. The Graduate Certificate in Modern Slavery and Human Trafficking at the University of Notre Dame Australia holistically explores severe forms of labour exploitation. It equips students with the skills to proactively identify, prevent and remedy modern slavery and human trafficking. The Graduate Certificate is a foundation program that leads to the Graduate Diploma.
Estimates put the number of people affected by modern slavery at about 40.3 million. Most of these people are in developing countries, but there are also people in developed countries, including Australia.
Since the introduction of the Modern Slavery Act in the United Kingdom and Australia, organisations are increasingly aware of the risk of modern slavery and human trafficking in their operations and supply chains.
The courses in the Graduate Certificate cover practical topics relating to business practices and legal compliance, law enforcement and ethical and moral leadership. You'll enhance your ability to analyse, interpret, draw conclusions, problem-solve and communicate. These are the skills of the 21st century workplace.
The Graduate Certificate in Modern Slavery and Human Trafficking is a valuable qualification to have in any business environment.
