The University of Notre Dame, Diploma of Nursing provides students with the skills and knowledge to care for people from different backgrounds in various healthcare settings. Employment prospects are extremely positive within nursing, and there are opportunities to transition into the Notre Dame Bachelor of Nursing course on completion of the Diploma.
The HLT54115 Diploma of Nursing is a nationally accredited course teaching the essential skills and knowledge necessary to work as an Enrolled nurse. An Enrolled nurse functions under the supervision of a Registered nurse in a range of healthcare settings. The Diploma of Nursing course is delivered over 18 months on-campus and online in Broome, WA. The Diploma course consists of 25 units of study and 440 hours of clinical placement, over three semesters, undertaken in various healthcare settings. After being awarded HLT54115 Diploma of Nursing qualification, you can apply for registration as an Enrolled Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia.
The HLT54115 Diploma of Nursing has been superseded, and the new course is the HLT54121 Diploma of Nursing. The new course will be delivered from January 2023, subject to ANMAC accreditation. Students enrolling in the current course who do not finish the course before December 2022 will transition into the new course in January 2023.
The Nursing and Midwifery Board have English Language Skill requirements for registration as an Enrolled Nurse.This course is suitable for people who want to work as an enrolled nurse in the health sector.
