Description

This course is aims to provide participants with a theoretical understanding of cannulation including indications, contraindications, cannula sizing, vein anatomy and selection, aseptic technique, and the procedure. The course includes the use of both safety and non-safety cannulas using both sterile and non-sterile glove techniques to suit healthcare professionals from any setting and resourcing.

The course consists of one hour online pre-course activities and four hours of face-to-face practice time. Pre-course activity access and course location details will be emailed to participants approximately two weeks in advance.
