Bachelor
Notre Dame offers a pathway for Enrolled Nurses to gain advanced standing for the Bachelor of Nursing, completing the degree in two years of full-time study. The program includes flexible study options and a dedicated orientation week to prepare students for university study.
Notre Dame recognises the skills and knowledge already gained by Enrolled Nurses (EN) in their previous studies and clinical practice in Australia. We offer a pathway for Enrolled Nurses to gain advanced standing for the Bachelor of Nursing and complete the degree in a reduced timeframe.
The EN articulation pathway is a streamlined option that allows you to begin the Bachelor of Nursing in second year, completing the qualification in two years of full-time study. You can also take advantage of flexible study options so you can continue to work while studying.
You'll benefit from a dedicated orientation for Enrolled Nurses (EN Primer Week), which will prepare you for university study. Upon graduation, you'll be eligible to apply to become a Registered Nurse with Ahpra.
To apply for this pathway, simply add details of your qualifications during the Bachelor of Nursing application process.
In addition to the English language proficiency requirements set by the University for entry to Notre Dame, Nursing applicants must also meet the English language requirements set by the ANMAC. Graduates of this program can follow diverse career paths in the private and public health sectors.
In addition to employment as a registered nurse, graduates are preferenced into Notre Dame postgraduate programs, offering additional career options in Midwifery or Paramedicine. Graduates can also continue with further study to specialise in their preferred area of health care or develop their career in health research.
