Continue to build your technical skills in the fashion industry with this qualification. Further advance your fashion skills with a strong emphasis on conceptual design and development, fashion illustration, textile development and manipulation techniques.
The course also covers digital print development, digital fashion and production technologies, and specialist patternmaking including computer-aided design (CAD) patternmaking and grading. You will also have the opportunity to construct high quality garments.
On completion of this course, you will have all the knowledge and skills to design a range of garments, from identifying a target market, creating a design brief, producing patterns and then final garments. The production of these individual ranges also includes corporate development such as label identity and all the relevant marketing tools required to promote and identify your products to the fashion industry.
At the end of the year you will curate a static exhibition and display your collection on mannequins for public viewing.
