Learn how to evaluate design solutions and to communicate ideas effectively using design terminology and a wide variety of visual presentation techniques, materials and technologies.

During your studies you will gain the skills to create design processes to produce 2D and 3D forms, apply and use colour and produce drawings to communicate ideas.

On completion of this course you will have a great foundation for further study in a range of industries, such as interior design, graphic design, and visual arts.

Entry requirements

  • An IELTS score (academic) of 6.0 with no band score less than 5.0 or equivalent.

  • Completion of the equivalent of Australian Year 10.

To achieve this qualification, students must demonstrate competency in 12 units. These 12 are comprised of 7 core units and 5 elective units. Elective units listed below have been selected in consultation with industry.
