It will teach you the required skills to undertake services such as pet grooming, animal exercise programs, maintaining animal health and basic animal first aid for companion animals such as dogs, cats, rodents and rabbits. You will also learn the foundations of animal nutrition and care, along with workplace safety and health. Students studying at the Bentley campus will be working with dogs, fish, mammals and reptiles. Students studying at the Murdoch campus will be mainly working with dogs and fish. Entry requirements

  • Students must be 17 years of age prior to commencing this course, in order to participate in the work placement.

  • An IELTS score (academic) of 5.5 with no band score less than 5.0 or equivalent.

  • Completion of the equivalent of Australian Year 10.
