If you want to continue to develop specialist skills in heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems, then MEM60112 Advanced Diploma of Engineering (HVAC) is the course to study. You will gain a number of advanced skills during your studies such as designing and implementing HVAC systems using CAD (computer aided drafting), understanding fluid and thermodynamics principles and the use of psychometric processes. When you complete this course, you will have the knowledge to evaluate thermal loads and performance, analyse noise and vibration, apply energy management principles, use building information modelling (BIM) software and apply engineering mechanics principles. Please be advised that a component of this course requires you to uses maths skills such as calculus, algebra, statistics and probability. As a student, you will be encouraged to register for student membership with the Australian Institute of Refrigeration, Air Conditioning and Heating (AIRAH), which will provide you with access to a range of industry events where you will have valuable networking opportunities. Please note, that this is an engineering based qualification and will not result in a trade qualification being issued. Entry requirements

  • Completion of MEM50212 Diploma of Engineering - Technical (HVAC) is required for entry into this course.

  • An IELTS score (academic) of 5.5 with no band score less than 5.0 or equivalent.
