With a Diploma of Community Services, you can graduate with the knowledge and skills to be a valued professional worker in the community service industry. Upon completion of the course, you will have gained the theoretical and ethical foundation required to prepare you for a meaningful and stimulating career. This may include working in areas such as child and family services, domestic violence, employment support, community development, and migrant services, among others.
Entry by interview. You will also need to obtain evidence of a Police Check to ensure participation in fieldwork placement.
For pathway students, upon completion of the course, you will be exempted 8 units in Bachelor of Community Services at Stott’s.

To receive this qualification, you must complete 16 units: 8 core and 8 electives. The course is conducted in 8 terms, each comprising 10 weeks, exclusive of holidays. You will attend college 20 hours per week.
The Diploma of Community Services requires 400 hours of supervised Fieldwork Placement.
You may be able to shorten the length of your chosen course by measuring skills acquired through work, life experiences or qualifications obtained from formal studies or training. Australian Qualifications Framework qualifications and statements of attainment issued by another registered training organisation will be recognised by Acknowledge Education.
