About this course

Kick start your career in the civil construction industry with the Diploma of Civil Construction Design. This qualification reflects the role of individuals working as designers or design paraprofessionals who support professional engineers. This course prepares you to perform tasks involving a high level of autonomy and requiring the application of significant judgement in planning and determining the selection of equipment/roles/techniques.

You are required to develop site specific work designs to ensure the implementation of the client's site requirements. You will learn from the latest industry software such as AutoCAD, CivilCAD, Revit, 12D and DRAINS to help with the design of the construction and infrastructure projects.

  • Completion of Year 12 studies or equivalent

Course structure

To receive this qualification, students must complete a combination of 20 elective units which may vary between each term and campus and will depend on a number of considerations including the packaging rules for the qualification.
