Developed in line with ACS standards, this course will see you sharpen your technical skills in mobile and software development, artificial intelligence applications, data analysis, and cyber security. You'll also develop in-demand soft skills like workflow management and teamwork, critical thinking and effective communication.
Our practical, project-based approach to learning lets you explore the challenging, industry-based briefs that you'll find in the workforce. Round off your studies with a capstone project of your choice, designed to demonstrate your mastery of the skills you've developed throughout your studies. Curate an entrepreneurial or industry project, where you'll produce comprehensive documentation that addresses the project development, deployment, and maintenance lifecycle.

The Master of Information Technology is broken up into two distinct stages, each designed to develop different skills.
Stage 1Develop the advanced skills and expertise required to collaborate with other SAE students and industry professionals.
You will apply your learning of these areas in weekly tasks and across a range of real-world projects to further your understanding of the key elements, attributes and applicability of IT Essentials.
Stage 2Produce your planned capstone project and showcase your advanced knowledge with applied learning.
Credit points: 10 Prerequisites: Programming Principle and Practices - ITC402 and students must have completed a minimum of 24 credit points Blockchain technologies have enormous potential for 21st-century technology and Society 5.0 in terms of the advancement and digitalisation of the global economy and have become an essential knowledge area for IT professionals.
Stage 4Credit points: 20 Prerequisites: Client-Based Project Management in IT - ITC510 This capstone is delivered in two parts, A and B; this unit is Capstone Industry Project A. The capstone is the final applied research project that forms the spine of the Master of Information Technology (MIT).
