K-Track

K-Track is a free 15-week program which is designed to help you qualify for entry into an undergraduate degree. There are no pre-requisites to apply for K-Track and the program begins at a year 10 level. K-Track is taught on campus by the staff at Kulbardi Aboriginal Centre and classes are limited to 30 students to ensure you receive tailored support.

The course can be studied full-time over four days a week, Monday to Thursday, or part-time over two days a week, Monday and Tuesday in your first semester and Wednesday and Thursday in your second semester.

To apply for the course you must be Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander.

You will be required to complete a writing activity before starting the course.

The course is aimed at students who are 17 years or older.

K-Track is a fee-free course, so there is no cost to you.

K-Track is approved as a full-time study option by Centrelink so you can apply for payments if you meet other eligibility requirements.

Some of the things you'll learn

K-Track takes a holistic approach to learning. The program is designed to help you not only with your academic skills, but with core soft skills that will enable your success, such as time management, communication skills, critical thinking and mindfulness practices.

Throughout the course you will also be introduced to academic writing skills, referencing, essay writing and scientific methods, report writing and more.
