Bachelor of Psychology Honours

A Bachelor of Psychology Honours will provide you with an in-depth understanding of the principles and practice of psychology. This course is a step on the pathway to becoming a registered psychologist.

Working closely with an academic, you'll undertake an individual research project of your choice. You'll also develop your research ability through coursework on psychological measurement and practice.

An Honours qualification of 2A (or suitable equivalent) is normally required for admission to postgraduate coursework and research degrees.

Professional accreditation

This course is accredited as a Level 2 course by the Australian Psychology Accreditation Council (APAC).

Professional recognition

Graduates of this course are eligible for provisional registration as a psychologist with the Psychology Board of Australia. To be eligible for registration as a psychologist, graduates will need to complete a minimum of either one additional year of study in an APAC-accredited 5th year psychology program and one year of supervised practice (internship), or two additional years of study in APAC-accredited 5th and 6th year psychology programs.

Professional accreditation

The Perth version of this course is accredited as a Level 2 course by the Australian Psychology Accreditation Council (APAC). The Dubai version of this course is not accredited. Dubai graduates seeking provisional registration as a psychologist with the Psychology Board of Australia will need to apply to the APS for an assessment of degree equivalency.

Professional recognition
