The Bachelor of Biomedical Science offers an array of exciting majors in a variety of medical science fields, exploring leading-edge research and providing plentiful opportunities for you to gain meaningful experience in the field.

You can choose to specialise in Biomedicine, Microbiology and Immunology, Clinical Laboratory Science, Pharmacology and Toxicology, Genetics and Biotechnology, or Biochemistry and Nutrition (or any two of these as a double major).

• In depth knowledge of the underlying principles and concepts of at least one medical scientific area (two if undertaking a double major)
• A broad understanding of the methods of medical science, including the processes involved in developing scientific knowledge.
• Medical science experimental and technical skills by performing and analysing the outcomes of in-class laboratory investigations.
• How to retrieve, analyse, synthesise and evaluate medical scientific information
• Current medical research trends

Your future career

Upon completion of this degree, you could pursue a career in a variety of health and science related settings including both government and the private sector. Depending on your chosen major, you could work in roles such as:

• Medical Researcher
• Medical Scientist
