This (IELTS) Preparation program has been specifically tailored for international students. This program aims to enhance and impart essential knowledge and skills required for competency in General / Academic Training Modules of the IELTS examination. The course focuses on assisting students to practice examination techniques, as well as to develop the necessary skills required to pass the IELTS examination. The IELTS is recognised by many universities, employers and governments around the world. This program is structured to enhance reading, writing, listening and speaking skills which are necessary for the exam. This program also guides the learners about how to approach each exam task, as well as enhance their essential grammar and vocabulary. Independent learning and research within the course and the development of an individual study plan for students, will introduce the participants to the conventions of tertiary study in Australia.

Students entering this course will require a level of English which allows them to understand and attempt the tasks required for the IELTS test. In order to be placed in this course, students will be required to either:
While there are no specific educational pre-requisites for entry into this course, however, it is anticipated that a majority of students will have completed Year 10 or equivalent.
Students' enrolled for this course will have as their specific study objective the need to attain a result in an internationally recognised certificate of English language proficiency, which will either provide a pathway for migration purposes or completion of a tertiary level course in a mainstream Australian tertiary institution.
