This course provides the necessary knowledge and skills to build a successful career in the landscape sector. Your training will focus on practical skills the following areas:

  • Paving techniques
  • Landscape Maintenance programs
  • Introduction to project costings
  • Construction of retaining walls and drainage
  • Construction of landscape features
  • Stonework
  • Plant information, turf establishment and soil characteristics
  • Maintaining landscapes.

At Kangan Institute we provide students with the opportunity to experience a simulated work place in our own learning facility for horticulture, landscaping and parks and gardens. Our teachers have a broad range of industry skills and knowledge that they bring to the classroom environment ensuring that students have relevant and current understanding of industry practices.

Our course delivery features a combination of on-campus and remote (online) learning. This flexibility allows our students to continue to study in a safe, guided and supported manner.

If you are enrolling in this course as part of an apprenticeship, you must have employment in the relevant industry before commencing the course.

  • Complete a Language, Literacy and Numeracy (LLN) assessment.

How Do I Apply?

For apprentices (on campus or on site) - You can apply through a registered Australian Apprenticeship Support Network (AASN) provider in conjunction with your employer. The AASN will contact our team with an RTO notification form, then we will contact you and your employer.
