This course is designed for Electrical Apprentices to achieve their qualifications and obtain their electrician's licence.

The Certificate III in Electrotechnology Electrician provides competencies to select, install, set up, test, fault find, repair and maintain electrical systems and equipment in building and premises.

Applicants are advised to contact the institute by calling the Contact Centre on 13 TAFE (138 323) as soon as their employer advises them of a start work date, as this may affect their starting date.

If you are enrolling in this course as an Apprentice, you

have employment in the relevant industry before commencing the course.

Can I Apply?

Yes, however you

must
be employed as an apprentice electrician with an Australia Training Contract to enrol in this course.

There are no other set prerequisites for this course. However, it is recommended that you have a successful minimum of year 10 level of education.

How Will I Be Selected?

Apprentices will need to show proof of their apprenticeship registration numbers at enrolment.

You will have to complete a pre-enrolment Language, Literacy and Numeracy (LLN) Assessment and a Pre-Training Review.

How Do I Apply?

To apply for this course, you must have obtained an Electrical Apprenticeship and have completed the necessary paperwork with the New Apprenticeship Centre.
