Learn the Tools of the Trade
This qualification provides the knowledge and skills needed to assist a Dentist, Dental Hygienist or Dental Therapist during all dental care procedures. Delivery combines work experience and flexible training to competently and safely assist the dental professional during oral health care procedures.
This qualification is offered as a traineeship to new employees in a general dental practice, as well as existing employees seeking a formal qualification. Course duration is full-time 1 year, part-time 2 years.
Our course delivery features a combination of workplace based and remote (online) learning. This flexibility allows our students to continue to study in a safe, guided and supported manner.
Entry Requirements
Can I Apply?
Applicants must be currently employed at a dental practice, have a valid First Aid Certificate - HLTAID003 Provide first aid and must be a minimum age of 18 years old. You will also need to undertake a Language, Literacy and Numeracy assessment and meet the minimum ACSF level.
