The Certificate III in Carpentry offers career opportunities including builder, building inspector, leading hand, sub-foreman, foreman and project manager.
This carpentry course aims to provide extensive training for carpentry apprentices employed in the housing and industrial construction area. Assessment training will be conducted on the worksite with some practical gap training to be provided on campus using full-size or simulated projects.
There will be extra costs for reference books and materials of approximately $300. Students are required to supply their own basic tools and equipment costing approximately $300. Students need overalls, safety footwear, eye and ear protection, general stationery, reference books and drafting equipment when attending campus.

Can I Apply?
To apply, you must be over the age of 15 years and have signed an apprenticeship training agreement between yourself, your employer and a registered training organisation such as Kangan Institute.
It is also recommended that you have satisfactory numeracy and literacy skills to undertake this course or are mature age and have sufficient work experience to successfully undertake the course.

How Will I Be Selected?
You will have to complete a pre-enrolment literacy and numeracy test.
How Do I Apply?
You must register your apprenticeship through a registered Australian Apprenticeship Support Network (AASN) provider in conjunction with your employer. Once you have been signed up, notification will come through our portal. Then an Apprentice Training Advisor will make contact with you to enrol with Kangan Institute.
