Diploma
Prepares performers with a range of knowledge, and skills to enter the performing arts industry as an actor for roles in theatre and film productions, and television work.
On successful completion of the course, students will have further integrated acting, voice, movement, and industry practice into a tangible performance skill. Students will have acquired advanced knowledge of script analysis in the context of acting for theatre, film, and television, and be cognisant of the communication and pre-professional skills necessary to audition for and perform roles in theatre, film, and television. Graduates of this course will be able to contribute in productions as both interpretative actors and generators of their own work.
Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF) level
This course has been accredited by ECU as an AQF Level 6 Advanced Diploma Award.

The following course-specific admission requirements are mandatory and must be satisfied by all applicants. These requirements are in addition to or supersede the minimum requirements outlined within the Academic admission requirements band section below.
All applicants are required to attend an audition. Applicants must be able to demonstrate competency in acting performance skills to a Diploma level.
