    English Requirements

    You must meet a minimum standard in English to study at Murdoch, which for most courses can be demonstrated by providing evidence that you have completed Year 11 and 12 in Australia at any level if you are a domestic student, or through either English proficiency tests, university preparation courses, English language courses, previous tertiary study or vocational education.

    Other Requirements A student's advanced standing is assessed at the time of application, taking into account higher level of study and/or professional experience.     Completion of a Bachelor Degree (AQF Level 7) or equivalent in the same discipline or cognate area with a Distinction average in units relating to the planned Honours study and a Credit/ Distinction average overall. Subject to availability of a suitable supervisor and approval by the Dean of School. Students should not have failed any undergraduate units in their relevant degree, particularly second and third year units and especially units related to their planned field of study.

    If you achieve an ATAR of 60.00 - 89.95, a Murdoch RISE adjustment factor of up to 10.00 points may help you get into your preferred course. Murdoch RISE can increase your selection rank up to a maximum of 90.00.

    Can I Apply?

    This course is available through the apprenticeship and traineeship pathway. You are eligible if you are employed or have been offered a new apprenticeship or traineeship in your chosen field. Also, it is recommended that you have satisfactory numeracy and literacy skills to undertake this course or are mature age and have sufficient work experience to successfully undertake the course. OR You may apply if you have satisfactorily completed VCE or an approved equivalent course and the satisfactory completion of the work requirements (eligibility to transfer); or are mature age and have sufficient work experience to successfully undertake the course. (Mature age is anyone over the age of 18 who has been out of full-time education for more than 12 months.)

    If you are enrolling in this course as part of a traineeship, you must have employment in the relevant industry before commencing the course.
